Yes, I bite my nails, although only the tips of them, and it's not a horrible habit or anything. :P A Habit I really don't like that I have, is that usually when I am reading my hands have to be doing something. Whether it's biting my nails, or playing with my ring, earring, or ear, I am usually doing something. :P And it bugs me sometimes.

Uuum, well I have been closest to my family for the longest. And I can't post a *super* recent picture of my whole family, so I'll post a picture of my brother Ian and I, who are the closest siblings in age! How's that?

Okay, I got a haircut!! So here is a new picture of moi. And the 15 facts? Scroll down.

1. I love pianos. Playing them, listening to other people play them, touching them, etc. It is my favorite instrument hands down!
2. I have an odd liking of elephants. I think they are sooo cute, except for elephants with tusks. Tusks = not too cute.
3. I taught myself to play the recorder and ocarina (a small flute-like instrument).
4. I won the Editor's Choice award for a poem I wrote when I was twelve.
5. I am an introvert. But I do love my time with my family and friends.
6. I have read the entire Bible four times.
7. I got glasses when I was fifteen and contacts when I was...eighteen! :D
8. I can make my elbow bend inwards.
9. I love haunting music.
10. I am a bit of a computer geek.
11. I have three ear piercings.
12. I had braces for 5 1/2 years. Yuck.
13. I will graduate from homeschool in June.
14. I am 5'1".
15. I have never given blood but I would love to be able to.

30 Day photo challenge

This isn't exactly my top choice for a photo challenge because I would rather be TAKING pictures than FINDING pictures to post. ;) Maybe I'll create my own photo challenge after this one. :)
Right now I will post a song though. Just for you! One that I really love. I love it when I find new artists especially *pianoplaying* artists that I really like, and Helen Jane Long is one of them. I did indeed find her all by myself, and I love her music. :) Most of the piano-playing artists I find, one of my friends introduces me to them, so I'm pretty proud of finding Helen Jane Long by myself. Can you tell?

Picture post!!

It came. Yes, it finally came. I was sitting in the living room and looked out the window. Lo and behold, there was the UPS truck, and my heart gave a wild leap. I saw the shipping label before walking back up to the house, and I managed to stay pretty calm. Then I tore open the box and got the manual. But alas, I had to make supper, so the camera (before it was even fully set up) had to go back in the box until supper was cooking in the oven. After supper I was able to go outside and get a few pictures. I suppose I should upload them for you.

Right now Mary is having fun trying to photograph me while I give her evil glares. How fun is that?
On a different note, I am trying to think of a name for my (camera) baby. I don't think it will end up being too hard since I love the little guy so much. ;) I can't wait until I find the perfect one! ;)

Photo Challenge? Oh yes...

I have decided that when my camera *finally* comes in the mail (it is supposed to be here between the 17th and 22nd) I will do some photo challenges/memes. Like my friend over at Nightbirds on Nantucket does quite often. Yes, I am copying her, but what could be more of a fun thing to do when you get a new camera?? Besides, I think it will help me to post, and help me to want to post.

On a side note, one of my good friends gave me a CD for my birthday that I can't WAIT to listen to. I have only heard...I think three of the songs before. It is being downloaded to iTunes as I type. I will try and put it on my iPod after it's downloaded, but I have virtually no room on my very outdated iPod, and I think over the years the room on it has been decreasing. As in, I start out with 2gb, and the space limit seems to be going down. Hmmmm....I wonder if they try to do that so that folks will have to buy new iPods. :P I would love to buy a new iPod, except that I don't like the new iPods. They are so tiny, they're touch, you can't watch movies, and you can't take movies! I mean, talk about a downgrade! I seriously should have gotten one when my brother did, and taken advantage of all the features! But how would I know that they would strip the little iPod nano of all its cool features?  Yikes. You all must think that I am an electromaniac. Which I am, to some extent. :P

I am sick. Would you believe that this is my 11th day in a row of being sick?? Yes indeedy. It is. I thought I was getting better from this cold, when I got a HORRIBLE earache in the middle of the night on Sunday. And I ended up having to take two days off of work. Again. Argh. Well, I must fly, so I shall. Thank you for reading my blog. :)

Excitement

I am getting a camera. I am so  excited. A Canon EOS Rebel T1i to be exact. (!!!!!!!!!!!!) Hopefully I will be able to order it on Saturday, but who knows, it might end up being later than that.
Anyway, I thought I should just make that announcement.
